LINDON, Utah ― May 11, 2005 ― The SCO Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SCOX), the owner of the UNIX® operating system and a leading provider of UNIX-based solutions, today announced that SCO Forum 2005, the company's annual partner conference, will take place August 7-9 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.
This year's conference will be built around the latest releases of SCO's flagship operating systems, SCO OpenServer 6 and SCO UnixWare 7.1.4, and the partners and solutions that support them. SCO Forum will feature several hands-on technical sessions to train SCO's reseller channel on all of the latest features and technologies that will benefit SCO customers. Company executives will also provide attendees with updates on the company's efforts to license and protect its core UNIX intellectual property.
In addition, the company will preview new technologies that the company has been working on throughout the past year that complement SCO's UNIX server technology and the markets into which SCO sells.
For more than a decade, SCO Forum has been the gathering place for resellers, developers, partners, and customers whose businesses depend on SCO solutions. Attendees will hear keynotes from SCO's president and CEO, Darl McBride, as well as other company executives and information technology industry leaders. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to attend technical training and business breakout sessions hosted by SCO technology experts and many of SCO's leading strategic business partners.
